Question
I believe that there’s some animal from which you can get milk, meat and also leather.
Have you ever seen such an animal? And if you have, can you tell me what animal is it?
I’m looking for a single animal, and not for different animals that can provide only one or two of those things.

Useless, irrelevant or otherwise wrong answers
- I know that it’s not a turtle.
Thank you very much, I didn’t know that! In case you haven’t noticed, I asked what animal is it, not which one isn’t.
- I haven’t, but I know that you can get wool from sheeps.
Cool man! I didn’t know that either! And now tell me … what part of “If you have…” didn’t you get? I didn’t ask about what you haven’t seen. I asked about what you have seen.
- Well, a friend of a friend once told me that he had seen an animal like that in his uncle’s farm.
Glad for your friend — or the friend of your friend. Unfortunately, you’re just providing useless information that doesn’t address the question.
- Yes. But that was a long time ago, and I can’t remember what was its name.
Wow, that was really helpful! Thank you very much for sharing your knowledge with us.
- I know that you can get milk from goats, meat from pigs and leather from crocodiles.
It’s always good to learn something new about animals, specially without having to watch a documentary on the Discovery Channel. But I guess I’ll need to explain the meaning of “a single animal“.
- Some time ago I read an article published in Nature, where this scientist sweared having seen that kind of animal. So I can conclude that the animal you’re looking for must exist.
Ok, here we go again… “HAVE YOU ever seen…”
- I have never seen that kind of animal, but…
I guess I don’t need to read any more, since obviously you didn’t even care to read the complete question. See the conditional clause “If you have“ ...
- It’s impossible to get all those things from a single animal.
Translation: “I am incapable of solving this problem, but since i cannot admit that, I’ll just say that it’s not possible”. By the way, “it’s impossible” is the same thing that Henry Ford kept hearing from so called “experts” while trying to build a single casting V-8 engine at a price that the general public could afford… or the same that the Wright Brothers were told over and over about the possibility of flying… you get the idea, we could probably trace this back to the origins of humankind. Is it that hard to say “i really don’t know” or —even better— to remain silent?.
- The animal you’re looking for is a lemming.
Sure, or it could also be a creature from outer space. Please gentlemen, it wouldn’t hurt if you checked the facts before giving misguiding answers.
- But technically, you CAN get milk, meat and leather from a lemming. So that must be the right answer to your question.
Yeah, I’m pretty sure that you can. And you also can get all of that from most mammals for that matter. Now, let me ask you something: have you ever drank lemming’s milk, or weared a jacket made of lemming leather? Can’t you connect the dots? If someone is asking for something that can produce a, b and c, it is probably because he needs a, b, and/or c for some useful purpose.
